My Review – Thanos
Well, the final book in this 3 book series, and I have been blown away by this one!! These are not standalones and must be read in order to truly appreciate the story here!!
In this final book we learn about Thanos and his Ancient Eton, and the story is not what I was expecting, it was quite heartbreaking really. Again this is told from many POV’s and goes back in time to Ancient Greece and then back to the present in order to understand their past. Paris and Thanos are just so sweet in this really, I feel bad for Thanos and what happened to him.
But of course we also get more of Alasdair, Leo and Vasilios as well as Isadora, Elias and Diomedes, and there is a lot more going on here as we learn just what Leo, Elias and Paris were created for. I don’t want to give too much away as there are lots of plot twists in this one that will leave you guessing right up until the end.
But the ending – that I was not expecting at all!!!! Not quite sure if this works for me or not, but it does wrap the story up well in one of the only ways that it can – but I like the dark and dirty side of the stories, and maybe wish this could all have ended a little different??
But this does not detract from the awesomeness of this series, which I truly enjoyed, and will definitely be reading more from Ella Frank in the future.
My Review – Alasdair
Ella Frank is a new author for me, but this looked like a really good PNR story which I love. What I wasn’t expecting was all the M/M and M/M/M (albeit be it vampire and human) erotic action going on!!! Jeez this was panty melting hot!! But it was also a great PNR tale revolving around Greek mythos, vampires and legends. This is the first in a series of 3 and I can’t wait to read the rest!!
Alasdair is over two thousand years old and extremely powerful, only his maker is more powerful than he. But he finds himself curiously drawn over and over to a human male, Leonides Chapel. After 2 wks of stalking him he goes in for the kill, but finds things don’t quite work out as expected, and takes Leo as prisoner to his lair for answers.
A brilliant storyline that goes back through the ages to present time, with some fantastic characters that I can’t wait to hear more of. But its the build up of sexual tension that plays throughout this book that has me gasping. Seriously hot.
It can be quite a difficult task to capture the reader whilst trying to build a new PNR world, but I was taken in from the first moment and have really enjoyed the Greek twist to this plot. I can’t wait to read more, highly recommended.
My Review – Isadora
Book 2 in this 3 book series and just, WOW! These are not standalone books and must be read in order to fully appreciate the PNR erotic masterpiece at work here!!
Isadora continues straight off after where we left Alasdair. Although this book revolves around Isadora and Diomedes there is so much more going on here!! This book is told from a variety of POV’s which might seem confusing, but really is needed to get the history and stories behind each character.
We get the history between Isadora and Elias, and how Isadora came to be turned, and just how beautiful her relationship with Diomedes is. We are also given a lot more of Alasdair, Leo and Vasilios, their histories and their erotic relationship. But as the story unfolds and we start to realise how Elias, Leo and Paris are not what we thought, and like a game of chess they are being used like pawns in an intricate game, where the whole vampire civilisation rests upon this outcome!
Brilliantly done, again with the story flitting from ancient Greece to present day, you are able to understand just what is happening as the puzzle pieces fall into place. Erotic and sensual, with a very dark undertone, I can’t wait to read the final book in this set!!
