The Silver Swan
1. A girl who is tarnished. Tainted. One who does not fit into the confinement of legend.
The Silver Swan
2. Madison Montgomery.
I was lied to.
I was cheated.
Resigning to pick up the scraps of empty memories and disarrayed thoughts, I left. After finally cutting the strings of manipulation, I resorted to do what I’ve done since I was a child, something my father drilled into my brain since I could handle my first rifle.
I’m a mere shadow of the girl they all knew.
Lies and deceit change you. They alter your entire outlook on life.
I’m Madison Montgomery, and I want to play a game.
Here’s what happens when I win.
Riddle me this, Mads.
What goes bump in the night,
but is something you can’t see with sight?
You may run, and you may hide.
Our happily ever after will be like Bonnie & Clyde.
OMG take a deep breath!!! Mind blown here!! Seriously good stuff here from Amo Jones, but this is not a standalone, please be sure to have read The Silver Swan first before attempting this!!
This picks up straight from book 1 – Madison has found out several secrets to this life she has found herself tied to, she knows what she is, but not the full extent of what that means. She is the missing puzzle piece in a game being played around her, but she is in mortal danger and her destiny has been foretold…..
She manged to escape from Bishop for a while, or so she thought – but Bishop knows and sees everything!! Their attraction to each other has not diminished – she feels used and controlled by the Alpha that is Bishop, being broken more and more by him. But he sees this as a way for her to survive, as brutal as he is with her at times, he is invested in her in a very dark and sinister way.
More plot twists and turns than you know what to do with – just when you think you have sussed it out you are wrenched at a right angle in a completely different direction!! You’re definitely left with more questions than answers by the time you have finished this – which has a cliffhanger at the end by the way!!! Urgh!!!
I have one small gripe – Madison has a book that tells her about The Silver Swan, the “Tacet a Mortuis”, which whilst good for the plot, really annoyed me at the rate she read the book – seriously who reads just the odd couple of pages and puts the book down when you need the info in that God Damn book!!! Rant over!!
Riddles, mysteries, lies, deceit, murders – nothing is as it seems, the story evolving and changing, leaves you anxious and on the edge of your seat wondering what’s coming next!! A brilliant storyline, I can’t wait for the next book!!
