OMG this book!!! The Feels!!! Such an emotional read!!!
I’ve read Lucas by Jay and loved it but haven’t read the others before this. This didn’t stop me absolutely loving this book, but has made certain I will go back and read the others before this, because just wow, what an awesome read.
Logan – the middle kid in the Preston clan, he’s a bit of an asshole, a high school drop out, works in construction with his dad during the week and spends his weekend high as a kite and partying. Until he meets Aubrey, who happens to be his current girlfriend’s best friend, who he hates but puts up with – this all changes when they start to get to know one another.
I was completely engrossed in this book, enthralled and captivated. Its a brilliant storyline, one I was not expecting. Such an emotional, intense and at times heart breaking read. Yes there is fun a light moments as well, but this is not an easy read, it is raw, real and gritty, my heart pounding in my chest while reading, some of the story was downright shocking, and some of it had me in floods of tears, I was a wreck. But it was oh so worth it!!
I love the whole Preston family!! Lachy and his relationship with Aubrey/Red was just wonderful. I can’t wait to read more about each of them, hopefully!!
The twists and turns in the story are awesome and some are completely unexpected. Reading about Logan getting high with ‘Mary’ and the effects it had on him was a difficult and gut wrenching part of the story, so be warned.
An unforgettable read this one for me, full of learning, healing, family and love. A highly recommended 5 star fabulous read!!
