My Review:

This is a new series from Melanie Moreland, based around 3 men who met at University and formed a life long bond together, other than that I wasn’t too sure what to expect. What I got was a fantastic read, refreshingly different to my usual reads, with unique characters and a great story line!! WIN!!

Bentley is the main character, along with his University friends of Adian and Maddox, they have formed their company BAM. What a character Bentley is, I loved him!! He has had a formal upbringing, which means he is very proper, formal, rigid, very professional and ruthless in business, seemingly cold and emotionless – he obviously has a lot of money and this shows is his clothes and lifestyle. But he is not your average typical suited ass. His personality is so refreshingly different its like a slap in the face, and he had me chuckling along whilst reading with his quirky personality.

Emmy is the complete opposite of Bentley – a free-spirit, happy, caring, loving, but not someone he would’ve looked twice at but for their chance meeting. She has a sassy streak in her, but is the light to his darkness.

Both have problems from their childhood, and both bring out the best in each other. I loved to watch their relationship develop, Bentley becoming more open and doing things he wouldn’t normally do, except for with Emmy. She brings out his caring, sweet and protective nature, not something that everyone else sees. But its the little things in the story like the gifts and the shopping trip that make it such a good read. Add in Emmy’s friends, Cami and Dee, and their love, support and loyalty, who end up pairing off with Aidan and Maddox and you have a great storyline that was engaging, sexy, sweet and later on quite an angsty and emotional read.

A great start to a new series, I can’t wait to read more about Aidan and Maddox.

Melanie Moreland – Bio:

New York Times/USA Today bestselling author Melanie Moreland, lives a happy and content life in a quiet area of Ontario with her beloved husband of twenty-seven-plus years and their rescue cat Amber. Nothing means more to her than her friends and family, and she cherishes every moment spent with them.

While seriously addicted to coffee, and highly challenged with all things computer-related and technical, she relishes baking, cooking, and trying new recipes for people to sample. She loves to throw dinner parties, and also enjoys travelling, here and abroad, but finds coming home is always the best part of any trip.

Melanie loves stories, especially paired with a good wine, and enjoys skydiving (free falling over a fleck of dust) extreme snowboarding (falling down stairs) and piloting her own helicopter (tripping over her own feet.) She’s learned happily ever afters, even bumpy ones, are all in how you tell the story.
