My Review:
This is my first book by Nora Ash, but being the PNR lover that I am, I was really excited to read this, the blurb drew me in and I was hoping for a good read – what I got was a great read instead!!
Set in a world where vampires are known to exist, but not a lot is known about them. Olivia get kidnapped and thrown in a cell for reading a sexy vampire novel by some vampire haters, hoping she gets eaten. Warin manages not to do this, in fact they end up being friends!! She is attracted to him, although only wants to be his friends, cannot get some images of him out of her head. Warin is an ancient vampire, but after meeting Liv finds a whole new meaning to the world around him, and loves to spend his time being with her.
Of course things get a little difficult, witches and shape shifters are involved in a war against the vampires. Liv finds out she has a secret that she didn’t know she was keeping, all the while being more and more attracted to Warin.
This was a great story, I was thoroughly drawn in and loved the world created here! Liv was a good heroine, strong will, sassy, a bit flighty at times, but overall she was fab. Warin was just fabulous – I loved his character!! Sexy, alpha, loyal, protective and utterly lethal when needed!! I loved how they were just friends to start with, and how the friendship gradually changed due to a connection from a long time ago, neither of which knew anything about!! Lots going on with drama, violence and magic, with some hot sexiness later on in the book!!
I would have loved some of the book told from Warin’s POV, having seen some of it through his eyes would have been fabulous!! But I can’t wait for the next book in this series to arrive!! Well worth the read this one!!
