Series: Twin Estates #4
1. If you see something, say something
2. Report all illegal activities to the authorities
3. Do not associate with criminals
4. And certainly don’t fall for them!
Tori Bellows is a really good friend. She’s always there when a shoulder is needed to cry on, to give dating advice, or for a good ol’ time. Now, though, Tori is the one who needs a shoulder to lean on when she’s in a tough spot. But all of her friends are too busy with their own lives.
Enter the Twin Estates’ resident bad boy, Landon Edenhoff. When he offers her an all expenses paid vacation, she’s immediately suspicious – he’s rarely nice and his intentions are never good. But she’s ready for a change of scenery and knows she can give as good as she gets from Mr. Rude & Nasty himself.
After all, how bad could this neighbor really be?
What a fabulous addition to the Twin Estates series this is!!! I’ve read all the others, and was looking forward to this but at the same time was a little apprehensive, as I wasn’t too keen on Landon from the others, so wasn’t quite sure how good or interesting his story might be – really, this ended up being such a fantastic read, far better than what I was expecting and really quite different from the others, but perfectly Stylo and awesomely good!!
Tori is everyone’s friend, she’s loyal and supportive, always there for her friends. She’s fun and intelligent, running Liam’s bar better than he can, she’s sassy and fiesty, and gives back as good as she gets. She’s been lusting after Liam for ages, but he’s now off the market and she is mega upset. Landon offers her to chance to go away from it all with him for a week or so, he’s paying so why not?
Landon is Liam’s twin brother, and as different from him as he could possibly be. He’s bad news. He’s a doctor with a drug and alcohol problem. He’s a mega asshole, full of himself, arrogant, cold, nasty, rude – but undeniably hot and sexy. He’s everything that Tori doesn’t need, but when in bed together, he sets her world on fire – aggressive, dominant and controlling, sex with Landon takes her mind off everything else!!
This book brought out a huge array of emotions!! Its quite an angsty read, at times I was heartbroken, at times I was mad as hell!! The banter between Landon and Tori had me laughing out loud at time, she gave him as good as she got, which was a lot!! Landon really annoyed me at the beginning but by the end of the book I was struggling to keep my tears in check!!
Brilliant characters with a fabulous storyline, which was very intense and quite dark at times. The situations they find themselves in was enough to make your toes curl!! A brilliant addition to the series, not sure if there will be any more after this one. Highly recommended 5 star reading.
I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there’s your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair – both a curse and a blessing – and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can’t understand me.
Yeah. I think that about sums me up.
