A modern way of finding love. One deserted island of luxury. Two people. Three out cards. And a whole lot of possibilities.

Melinda takes the advice of her best friend, Chris. She signs up to a new dating service that pairs you statistically to the one you’re supposed to love. Finding it — love that is — using the more conventional methods, has not been a successful venture for Mindy, and with her biological clock ticking, she uses a more desperate method and takes the plunge into a possible happily ever after.

The thing is, when she boards the boat to a secret location, she doesn’t realise the man waiting for her is someone she’s previously met.
Chance encounters occur more frequently than we realise. Being blind to them is part of a bustling world. But, being faced with them can lead to a hilarious three weeks between two opposites who might just attract.

My ARC Review:

This was my first read by Belle, and I found it a joy and a pleasure to read, very very funny in many places, witty, romantic, yet very down to earth and relatable, a great all round read!!

Mindy is clumsy and socially awkward, having been bullied and ridiculed growing up, she has a bad opinion of herself and just finds it impossible to speak to men. Thank goodness for Chris, her gay best friend, who is full on team Mindy, always there for her, loyal, protective, crazy, this man knows no such things like personal boundaries!! I loved him, everyone needs a Chris in their life.

Chris tries to set her up with online websites, trying to get a man in her life, this does not go too well!! Arlie appears in her life via the Chinese takeaway, a man she can actually talk to, somewhat lol. He’s lovely and sweet and she really likes him, but after bumping into her once more and taking her phone number, he never calls back.

Mindy wins the chance to find her perfect man on a tv show after answering a load of random questions and being paired with someone on an island getaway. That someone turns out to be Arlie. They have questions and certain tasks to complete every day for the tv show – let the hilarity commence!!

I really loved the story line, Mindy and Arlie are perfect for each other, with Arlie trying hard to win her over, but hiding some rather large secrets whilst doing so!! Highly recommended reading.
