USA Today bestselling author Meghan Quinn’s second book in the Getting Lucky series brings heart, humor, and heat back to Port Snow.

There are two little words every small-town man dreads:

She’s back.

Harper Sanders, the girl who was supposed to be my forever, has returned to Port Snow, Maine, for good—and she’s bringing back memories of our shared past.

We once had a bright future together, but when tragedy struck, I threw it all away and pushed her out of my life. People in our small town think I’m cursed, but I know better. I did it all to myself.

And now she’s creating a life of her own in the place where we first fell in love. I can’t fight my feelings for her—or the strong attraction that keeps pulling us together. But after all this time, can she forgive the past and fall in love with me all over again?

Everyone hopes to find that forever girl…I just hope I haven’t lost mine for good.

Book Review:

This was a great read by Meghan, a story about two people who loved each other too much at too young an age, the relationship ended up wrecked and you have two completely broken people as a result.

The story is told from dual POV’s and flits from past to future so that we can see just what happened in their relationship for them to end up as they are today, broken and both miserable and unable to move on in life.

Rogan and Harper grew up together in their small town, being best friends before become more. Their love for each other was enormous, but at such a young age its difficult to handle. What should have been a forever relationship ends when tragedy strikes, guilt, harsh words, bitterness and resentment break them. Seven years later and Rogan still lives in his hometown, having become a bit of a property mogul. Still bitter and resentful of his life and the loss of Harper, that is until Harper moves back into town. They try to avoid one another at all costs, but its a small town, and all their friends and the people of the town start to meddle in their business in an attempt to get them back together.

I loved the Knightly brothers, what an awesome family that is, the banter and the pushing of buttons and winding each other up was wonderful. Their group chat messages had me laughing out loud! I loved both Rogan and Harper, feeling for what they had been through, learning about their past and understanding the bitterness and resentment coming from them both, and how they both had to make changes in order to move on. A really enjoyable read, highly recommended.
