Reed Rivers is everything you thought he would be and then some…. dubbed ‘the man with the midas touch’ having worked his socks off to get where he is today from having nothing, but he doesn’t suffer fools, he’s straight talking, charismatic and dirty!! Relationships are a no go for him, no ties are essential, he’s learned that people want him for his money or to further their career so he’s very closed off and nothing about his personal life is let slip.
If you’ve read any of Lauren’s other books you will know just what type of man Reed is and how he behaves, and we always knew it would take an exceptional type of woman to worm her way into his life…..
Georgie has fought her way through college to get her journalism career off the ground, struggling with problems at home. But she is determined to make a go of her career. She didn’t even know who Reed was when they first met, but boy did she feel the connection, even across a crowded room!! But when chances are thrown her way to either spend time with Reed or get a chance at her dream career, she takes the career path, never dreaming she would meet him again! But he turns up at the bar where she works and their connection is simply electrifying!!
Georgie turns out to be the perfect match for Reed, she’s fiery and sassy, stands up to him and gives back as good as she gets, is effortlessly sexy, with an innocence and vulnerability about her that is like a siren call! But relationships are a no-no, her career has her full focus, so when Reed appears in her life and literally steals her breath and she loses her mind over him, she is left in a daze!
Their connection is just so intense, just talking and pushing each other’s buttons was hot as hell, but when the eventually get together it’s enough to set the room on fire!! I just can’t wait to see how these two get on together and whether Georgie will manage to peel back Reed’s layers and discover the person underneath the persona!!
This trilogy is going to be just dynamite…. the characters, the emotions, the connections…. you just can’t help but be fully immersed in this story line, hanging on Lauren’s every word, I can certainly see these two turning out to be one of my favourite set of characters that Lauren has written about, you just can’t help but fall in love with Reed and Georgie, your heart hammering, you’re slightly breathless and a little tingly after making that connection yourself with these two!
These books are easily read as a standalone, it’s not necessary to have read any of Lauren’s other books before you start these, but boy will you want to!! A stunning read in every way, magical, emotional and intense, get some Reed Rivers in your system today!! One of my favourites so far this year!!
