Blurb:
He was my foster brother.
He swore to protect me.
He failed.
They all failed.

I’m an open box of passé photographs, snapped in chaste daylight, but filtered in sepia. I’m the past that he tried to forget, and he was the future I needed. When he left six years ago, I screamed for him every night. But then it all stopped. My screams were suddenly muffled by cruelty, and further coaxed by pain.

But he has come back. He’s not the cute big brother I had a furtive crush on, or the bad boy, rich brat that I hated to love.

He’s the ruthless vice president of Wolf Pack MC, and he doesn’t answer to Royce Kane anymore.

He answers to Sicko.

My ARC Review:

You know you’re in for something dark and delicious when Amo puts a warning out at the beginning of the book, something she doesn’t do as you know what to expect from one of her books, so I was very much looking forward to seeing what dark delights awaited me!!

It is a dark, gritty and brutal read which contains plenty of triggers, including rape, power exchange and captivity. But it was also a very emotional read, hot, thrilling, suspenseful…. I was captivated by the story line from the get go, Royce and Jade’s story is stunning and completely engrossing and I loved every minute of it.

Jade was so strong in this, fierce, determined, yet not showy, it’s a quiet strength that she owns, battling through everything with her shoulders held high. She goes through so much pain and devastation in this book, it’s a difficult read at times, but by the end when all the pieces have dropped into place you will have nothing but awe for her strength of character, she’s a fantastic heroine.

Royce was Alpha through and through, the younger version of him was playful and protective and would do anything for Jade, but he always fought off his attraction to her. But after he left and became Sicko his character changed, she no longer knew him that way, the playful version was gone, replaced by a cold, calculating, possessive VP of of the Wolf Pack MC.

Their connection from the start was off the scale, but they always held back from each other, yet you could see that they were made to be together. The heat and erotica when they are together later is enough to melt your kindle.

It’s a full on roller coaster of emotions reading this one… family, loyalty and friendship feature heavily throughout all the dark twists and turns in the plot, I loved the Wolf Pack and all the different characters and how much of a family they were with each other. But you never knew which way the plot was going to go, the unexpected turns it would take, which again Amo is known for in her books, which kept you on your toes.

This was a stunning read for me, one that will stay with me for a while, darkly intense, passionate and thrilling…. I can’t wait to read more from the Wolf Pack.

About the Author:
Amo Jones is a USA Today & Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author, totally winging this author thing (she’s probably doing it all wrong). She likes cake, loves wine, and her religion is magic (Slytherin). She’s a profound work-a-holic, but when she’s not writing, you can find her chilling with her kids & Husband at the nearest beach, with a cocktail in her hand.

New Zealand is not a state of Australia and rugby is the best sport ever played.
