Sometimes the epilogue to one story is the beginning of another.
From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Jasinda Wilder comes an all-new, emotionally gripping novel, The Cabin, available now!
One year ago, I buried my husband.
One year ago, I held his hand and said goodbye.
Now I spend most of my days lost somewhere between trying to remember every smallest detail of our lives, and trying to forget it all. I fill my hours with work until I’m too exhausted to remember him, to feel anything at all.
One year, 365 days—and then one knock at my door changes everything. A letter from him, a last request, a secret will:
My dearest Nadia,
Trust me, my love. One last time, trust me. Sometimes the epilogue to one story is the beginning of another.

My ARC Review:
I love a good read from Jasinda so went in this one blind, and boy did I get a shock, not what I was expecting at all, but I am sooo glad I read this. Not an easy read by any means, the first 30% of the book I hardly stopped crying and could barely read the words, but totally worth the read. It’s a beautiful, poignant, heartbreaking tale of love, loss and the ability to move on and and have a second go at living.
Adrian is an author who is dying of cancer. Nadia is his wife and the absolute love of his life. They have a beautiful and loving relationship and he tries everything to keep things as normal as they can be, whilst keeping his illness from her, as she is a nurse and would drop everything to look after him, and he didn’t want that.
He knows he is dying, but he wants Nadia to carrying on living without him, to find love again, not to mourn him forever, and so sets about putting plans into place for this to happen after he dies.
You will need a mountain of tissues for this one, it is so full of raw emotion, there are no pulled punches, death is dealt with and it’s full on in your face….. I thought my heart was going to break, I was sobbing. Brutally honest and incredibly real, it certainly made me take a step back and think of my life and what would happen!
It’s a read I would recommend to anyone, it’s beautifully written and very real, showing just how difficult life can be, but that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
