Mafia Casanova by Rachel Van Dyken is now live!
From Wall Street Journal & USA Bestselling Author M. Robinson & #1 NYT Bestselling Author Rachel Van Dyken comes a full length, standalone romantic suspense novel
Was the tangled web of mafia life.
We grew up together. Me, Eden, my brother Tristian.
He was always the safe bet, the sure thing, the good guy.
And me? Well, I was the Casanova, the killer who flirted with anyone and anything, breaking Eden’s heart again and again.
We both loved her.
Until I gifted her to my brother as if she meant nothing, when she meant everything to me.
Tristian was safer.
Could give her the life I never would be able to.
But things changed.
My only goal was to protect her, making her hate me in return. Except once my brother wasn’t standing in between us anymore, I decided…
It was my turn to claim what had always been MINE to begin with.

I waited until I was inside the elevator.
Until I was alone.
Just me and my fragile heart.
I watched the numbers light up as the elevator ascended. And as the distance between Romeo and myself grew, I told my heart we would be okay because we had Tristian.
I was lucky right?
So damn lucky.
And yet, two tears escaped. Tears of anger. Sadness. Tears he didn’t deserve in the first place. Tomorrow I would become Tristian Sinacore’s wife—tonight…
I would drink Romeo Sinacore away.
I exhaled in relief the minute the elevator stopped on my floor and I found my room. I pulled my key card from my purse and tapped it against the door. It clicked open and I was finally able to breathe as I kicked off my heels and went straight to the bar in my suite.
The alcohol was only temporary, but it would at least numb the catastrophe of Romeo. It had been one thing after another. Like he couldn’t help but continuously bruise my heart until it bled. I’d reached my boiling point. Instead of pouring a glass, I grabbed the bottle and made my way out onto the balcony to drink away the memory of him. I don’t know how much time went by when I heard a knock on my door.
Moments later, Romeo’s voice echoed through the room. “Red, open the door.”
I shouldn’t have walked back inside. I shouldn’t have let my heart guide my mind.
Have opened that goddamn door.
My ARC Review:
A brilliant dark, raw, tragic and utterly gripping read from these two wonderful authors, who’s writing style suit each other perfectly and blend together to create an engrossing, captivating and edge of your seat dark mafia romantic suspense read!
Romeo and Tristan Sinacore are brothers in the mafia family who grew up with Eden De Rossi, daughter of the head of security for the Sinacores. They were all friends and grew up loving one another. But Romeo and Tristan couldn’t be more different.
Romeo is a natural born killer, it’s his job to kill for the family, he has many people’s blood on his hands and he enjoys the kills and much as he enjoys the women he uses to get information from before he then kills them. He has loved Eden since they were little but knows he is no good for her, she is not made for his world.
Tristan is the accountant for the Sinacores, he cooks the books, he’s not involved in the dark and gritty side of business, he is an innocent in that respect, and he loves Eden.
Romeo gives up his rights to Eden and steps aside to let Tristan have her, believing it is the right thing to do, to give her a life he never could, with the love of his good brother. But things don’t quite turn out as planned…..
I don’t mind a love triangle as long as there is a good story to back it up, which you have here in spades. This story is tragic and heartbreaking in many ways. Told in dual perspectives and in flashbacks to Then and Now, so you are getting little snippets of the story building as it goes.
Romeo is cold, ruthless, cunning and charismatic…. he only cares about Eden and making sure she has the best life that she is capable of. What he learns is that life is not the one with his brother Tristan. Eden has always loved Romeo and he deliberately went about hurting her to force her into Tristan’s arms, all the while it was Romeo that held her heart.
A gripping read from start to finish, you know what a love triangle involves so be prepared, but it is emotional and raw in places when the pieces start to drop. A great little twist at the end with the promise of more to come. Not to be missed for dark mafia fans.
