This book has it all–
“This is one of the most fulfilling and wonderful romances I’ve read in a long time. I’m also so honored Melanie Moreland included a nod to my books (cue uncontrollable squeeing). I loved this gorgeous, heartwarming read and can’t wait to read more in the series!”- Scarlett Scott, USA Today Best Selling Author of Notorious Ladies of London
I ignored life around me until I finished —
“This standalone is the first of a new generation that is everything I loved about The Contract blown up. The scorching heat, the hurt and anger, the broken grumbly hero with the huge heart he knows nothing about. A top 2021 read for me, My Saving Grace had it all and I can’t wait for more of the ABC Corp!”- Stephanie Rose, author of Never Too Late series
In awe of the brilliance —
“In true Melanie Moreland fashion the reader is once again surrounded by characters that feel like they are family. Hopes and dreams are riding a very thin line and the reader turns each page needing more while at the same time they are in awe of the brilliance that is another Melanie Moreland masterpiece.”- The Overflowing Bookcase

Grace is a law student and has her life planned out. She plans to pass her bar exam and then go and work with her cousins at ABC Corp, but in the meantime she needs some experience, and will be interning at a well know law firm. What she didn’t expect was that during the interview for this internship that she would be electrified and attracted to the interviewer, Jaxson Richards, who she would be working for. Falling for her boss is not in her plans and she is determined to just get on with her job and her life, as planned.
Jaxson is 38yrs old and his life is going exactly as he wants it to. He has a successful career and has worked hard to get there, by himself. He has had a rough upbringing and this has taught him that love and relationships do not exist as far as he is concerned, there is only the now until it is time to move on. What shocked him was his reaction to Grace during the interview, his attraction to her and the fierce possessiveness that overcame him, he wanted her and wanted to protect her, care for her….. this is something he has never experienced before.
They are unable to stay away from one another for too long and end up trying to live a double life….. boss and employee by day and lovers by night. He is adamant that this is only temporary, but he is fighting against himself and his developing feelings for her.
This was a fantastic read, thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. These two are opposites yet so completely right for each other. Jaxson is gruff and growly while Grace is caring and carefree, yet put them together and they are light fire and tinder just waiting to start a fire! Jaxson is very caring and protective of Grace, I love how he is able to comfort her and allay her fear, giving her something else to think about but her claustrophobia. Grace just can’t understand how Jaxson thinks he is incapable of love when she is surrounded by it with her family and is determined to prove this to him.
Richard VanRyan is the doting dad of Grace and boy do him and Jaxson clash!! I loved their interaction with Grace being stuck in the middle, so funny at times!
It’s one of those books that you can’t put down once you’ve started, so engrossed in the story that you just keep those pages turning!! Brilliant, highly recommended reading.
