My ARC Review:

Read the prequel to this first, Fate’s Demand, as it gives you a good background to the start of this duet.

I was hooked from the start with this one after reading the prequel.

Everett Ramses is the Kingpin of New Orleans, born to lead the crime underworld, he believes he is destined to have a Queen by his side in the form of Emma North. Their fathers were adversaries, but Rhett is ready to claim his Queen, telling Emma a different story of her life than she has been brought up to believe, one where her adopted brother is after killing her and where he is out to save her.

Rhett is a dominant who is after Emma’s submission, but adores her feisty side just as much. It’s the internal struggle with herself that Rhett craves, to see a strong woman submit to him.

He has a lot to tell her about her real parents and her adoptive brother, he wants to keep her safe and demands they marry in order to do so. Can she trust what he says and step up to be his Queen and submit to his will??

This is a hot, suspenseful and steamy read that has lots of twists and turns in the plot, especially the last few chapters that will leave you on the edge of your seat!! This ends in a cliffhanger that will leave you reeling!! Can’t wait to see how this will play out!!
