The Introvert’s Guide to Speed Dating
The Introvert’s Guide #2
Speed dating: the act in which you have two minutes to figure out how much of a jerk someone is. And pretend like you don’t have the hots for your son’s soccer coach.
After four years living the single life, it’s decided that I, London Stuart, am back on the market.
I’m not even mad when my cousins and best friends put my name down for the speed dating sessions. In fact, I’m actually a little excited about it.
Until one of my dates turns out to be my six-year-old son’s irresistibly sexy soccer coach. His irresistibly sexy British soccer coach.
Oliver Hayes is too good to be true—he’s tall, dark, handsome, hilarious, and he genuinely loves kids. Especially mine. But he’s not sure if he’s even staying in the country, and I’m not sure I can handle giving him my heart if he’s only going to leave.
So why is he over for dinner almost every night? Why is he giving Leo private goalie sessions in the backyard? Why is he sending flowers to my desk at the newspaper?
And why, oh why, can’t I stop kissing him?

My ARC Review:
This was a cute, sweet single mum slow burn romance who falls for her son’s hot British footie coach….
I enjoyed this one, it was cute, I loved London with her 6 yr old son Leo, she was devoted to him and was not interested in relationships after catching her ex in bed with his secretary, so she went it alone with her son and did her best for him.
Oliver is Leo’s footie coach and is teaching him how to be a goalie. He’s a hot British ex athlete who now teaches due to an injury. He’s not totally settled in the USA, he misses his family and even though his best friend is here with him he’s not sure if he’s going to stay, as something is missing in his life.
These two have a great friendship, which feels a bit forbidden to London with Oliver being Leo’s coach, but she can’t help but crush on his accent and his British ways, along with his caring personality and his patience with the kids. But London is scared by her reaction to Oliver and uses Leo as an excuse for not getting serious with Oliver, instead of admitting she is scared.
Oliver loves spending time with London and Leo, he has found his missing ‘something’ with these two, but knows he can’t push London too quick as she was likely to just bolt.
A good read which I enjoyed, not quite as witty as some of Emma’s other reads and it was also missing some sexy times which was a bit of a shame. Still I enjoyed their story.
Emma Hart is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of over thirty novels and has been translated into several different languages.
She is a mother, wife, lover of wine, Pink Goddess, and valiant rescuer of wild baby hedgehogs.
Emma prides herself on her realistic, snarky smut, with comebacks that would make a PMS-ing teenage girl proud.
Yes, really. She’s that sarcastic.
