My ARC Review:

Oh my goodness, I was so looking forward to this one after reading the first book ‘Here With Me’ earlier this year, which was a stunning read!!

Again this one blew me away, I loved it….. a beautifully written, highly emotional, age-gap romance between a widowed father and his younger nanny, I absolutely adored this one!!

Make sure you’ve read ‘Here With Me’ first to get the full info on what’s going on with the characters, you won’t regret it!

Reagan is Robyn’s younger sister, the one that seems to run away at every opportunity, travelling the world and selfishly abandoned her family, especially her sister, just when she was needed. Reagan turns up at the Ardnoch Estate unannounced, seemingly full of herself, arrogant, unrepentant and unapologetic for everything she has done. But as we learn more about her, nothing is as it seems, she is a broken and troubled young woman who knows how to put on a happy face for others to see.

Thane is Lachlan’s brother, we know he has lost his wife but know nothing about their relationship or how she died, and don’t find this out to later on in the story, but we do know that he has a young son and daughter, who are absolutely adorable. Thane and Reagan are attracted to each other from the start, but ignore all the signs. Thane is desperate for a new nanny, Reagan has nanny experience and so offers her nannying services. Thane is very reluctant about this, especially with Reagan’s flighty reputation, but the kids adore her and so she moves into the adjoining annexe of their house.

Of course they try fighting their attraction, Thane even more so as he lives for his children, the age gap being a major thing for him as she is just starting her life really while he is all settled. Plus she is known for her running away stints, so how long before she gets bored?

So they have a wonderful friendship with the children absolutely adoring Reagan, they are immersed in family life doing all the normal things a family would, the attraction building, the little touches here and there, the laughter and the banter….. until the slow build explodes and they agree to a no strings relationship until it runs its course. Just wow, those bedroom scenes are scorchingly hot, Thane is a bit of a master in the bedroom art!!

There is some drama as well as both Thane and Reagan have a past that catches up with them, which really adds to the story line. I adored Thane and Reagan in this, how beautifully their relationship built, how so involved the children are in their lives (and what an absolute delight they are too). I loved how Reagan and Robyn sorted out their relationship as well, they had some issues that needed working through.

I could not put this down, engrossed from start to finish, rooting for Thane and Reagan and wanting to know all the little bits inbetween. There’s yet more to come from this series, which I can’t wait for, a fabulous read through and through. Not to be missed.
