Blurb:

– Connor –

It’s all on me now. The billion-dollar company I just inherited from my late father. The public eye waiting for me to slip up. The pressure of keeping it all together.

At least there’s one bright spot in my life—my new assistant, Emma. My dream woman come to life if I didn’t know better.

It’s too bad the paparazzi would have a field day if they discovered something going on between us. I can’t afford for anything to jeopardize my new role as CEO of Bishop Industries.

Even if she is temptation personified.

– Emma –

It was supposed to be a simple assignment. Become Connor Bishop’s new assistant and convince him to buy my father’s company, Montague Media. So how do I do that? By any means necessary, according to my dad—including seduction. Otherwise, I lose everything.

But no one told me how hard it would be to seduce a billionaire who insists on acting like a perfect gentleman, especially when real feelings start to emerge. At what point do I stop the charade and tell him who I really am? Before or after I fall in love with him?

My ARC Review:

The final book in this Bishop Brothers trilogy, can easily be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading them in order to get the best out of this, so you understand the family dynamics and each of the brothers, who are very individual.

This book is about Connor, the youngest brother. From previous books we know that the other 2 brothers, Gabriel (Resisting the Billionaire) and Archer (Marrying the Billionaire) stood up to their Father and got their girls, but ended up being cut off from the Bishop empire. Now their Father is dead, and Connor has inherited everything, as their Father threatened. Connor never wanted any of this, never wanted to run the business, he far prefers travelling, but is now stuck with it. He finds it very hard going, he is not his Father, as the other board members frequently tell him.

Emma is his new temporary assistant, so they are both on a learning curve with the business. But Emma is there under false pretenses really….. she is the illegitimate daughter of Greg Montague, who we met in the previous books, and is threatening Emma and her mother, who rely solely on Greg for the house they live in and money to survive, with pulling everything he currently does for them unless Emma gets Connor to buy a media business of his.

I’m not fantastically keen on deception of this type in books, but in this instance it works due to us knowing what the villain is capable of in previous books in this series, but it did take a while for me to warm up to her due to this.

The role in the bedroom take a bit of role reversal in this with Connor giving up the control to Emma, who turns into a dirty talker in the bedroom giving Connor directions. They work well together in the office as well, with both Emma and Connor working together to improve the Bishop business and get Connor enjoying being in the role of CEO more, changing the way of working to suit him, rather than what his father did.

It was great to see the other 2 brothers and their girls involved in this book as well, with Emma fitting in well with the extended family, but there is a lot riding on both Emma and Connor in this, and the guilt Emma feels by trying to seduce Connor but actually ends up falling for him and then lying is palpable with her. Of course the truth will come out and everything explodes as a result.

This has been a great series, I have loved reading about the 3 brothers and recommend you read all of this series, it’s well worth the read.
