My ARC Review:

 

This is the first book in Emma’s new series…… this was a fun, sweet read, full of banter and some craziness that is a common theme in Emma’s books, that added to the wit and humour and left me with a smile on my face.

Set in modern day England, Lady Gabriella is a loving, kind hearted soul, who wants to learn about gardening. Her father is after her marrying someone with a title ensuring she is happy and cared for, in his eyes. But Gabriella has a crush on the gardener……

Miles has worked at the manor for a little while now, and is attracted to Gabriella, but knows a relationship with her would be fruitless, him being a commoner and her being aristocracy…… so he is cold, rude and very grumpy towards her to ensure he pushes her away.

But a severe storm finds them both stranded alone together at the manor, the forced proximity making them talk about things, with Miles realising the only thing stoping him having a relationship with Gabi is him!!

I loved all the characters and the setting, an easy read this, very pleasant but not much in the way of actual romance or heat, I think I would’ve liked to have seen a bit more! Looking forward to reading more from this series, lots of scope for more books in here!
