Angels, demons… the afterlife.
I’d always thought they were bullshit.
Until all my misguided beliefs were proven wrong by an infuriating, flippant asshole with horns who has no concept of boundaries.
Summoning him was never the plan, especially since I’m not willing to do what it takes to send him back.
If I’ve learned anything from Loch, it’s that preconceived ideas are usually false, and the truth is much messier than fables.
The theory of good and evil is flawed.
Nothing is that simple.
Loch
The only side of human nature I’ve ever encountered is vile and perverse, depraved and cruel.
However, Mishka’s none of those things.
She’s an insufferable, snarky creature who makes me question everything I know about myself.
The longer I’m with her in this world, the less desperate I am to return to mine, which is absurd.
I am son of Asmodeus.
A prince spawned from lust to torment the damned.
The mortal realm is not where I belong.
Incubastard deals with Christian lore that does not align with the Bible. It is completely fictional. If this will make you uncomfortable, please do not read this book.
Content Warning: This novel contains graphic scenes depicting blood and gore along with sexually explicit content and violence. For mature audiences only.

This was my first read by Charity, and I must say I really enjoyed this, I enjoyed the world and her spin on religion, angels and demons, and the Fall from Heaven…. very refreshing.

So basically Mishka and her friend Leena, who is into witchcraft and the occult, use an old book in a spell, after Mishka had a bad breakup with her ex, and ends up summoning Loch in response to their spell. Neither thought it would work and didn’t really mean to do it! Mishka is in denial about Loch and what he is and tries to just release him from his summons, but that’s not happening until they get it on!

Loch is a Prince in the realm he is from and has never been the object of a summons before. Humans are not his thing, but there is something about Mishka that attracts him to her. The more time they spend together, the less he actually wants to go home.

I loved the storyline and the characters in here, Loch and Mishka are brilliant and so very well suited. Loch is a bad boy in many different ways, but has a heart around Mishka, who doesn’t take any nonsense from him. The banter and wit between these two really had me laughing many times. Their chemistry and passion was really off the chart…. kinky and steamy!

Lots of different side characters that make this book as well, Leena being a big one of these, I loved her, but my heart also broke for what she went through. Revenge is sweet though, good on Loch!

This book won’t be for everyone of course, with its differing religious views, lots of hot kinky steam, and a lot of graphic violence and bloodshed, triggers galore so be aware.

For me it was a good read, very entertaining from the start, the world and the characters were brilliant and it really kept my attention. I will be looking for more books from this author now. Definitely worth the read if this is the type of book you like.
