His Christmas Wish
I’m not a grinch. I’m also not someone who cares all that much for Christmas. I am, however, more than willing to use it to my advantage. I didn’t become a billionaire by playing nice. I’ll leverage everything I can to get what I want. What I want is Lydia Romano. The sassy, curvy, Christmas loving stylist is running scared from the attraction between us.
Without remorse or hesitation, I make an offer I know she won’t be able to refuse. I need a date for six events over the next few weeks. I’ll donate ten thousand dollars for each date she attends with me to the struggling charity she is devoted to.
She counters with twenty-five thousand each date and a whole lot of hate. Deal. It’s a bargain, as far as I’m concerned.
I have six dates and her love of the magic of Christmas to get her to take a chance on the magic of us.
My ARC Review:
This was my first read by Fiona and I really enjoyed this one!! Decker Holt, an alpha billionaire a-hole who’s domineering and possessive, with Lydia Romano, a plus size beautiful stylist who is happy in her ways being on her own, until she meets Decker and realises just what she is missing in her life!
Lydia is a stylist for plus size women, well renown and highly sought after for styling women in clothes they are comfortable in. She’s not a morning person, so when Decker calls her at the crack of dawn hoping to recruit her to help style his sister, she bites his head off! Not a good start!
They end up apologising to each other and Lydia helping his sister out. Lydia dresses a bit provocatively for their first meet with his sister in the hope of pushing Decker’s buttons, but he ends up turning the tables on her and she finds herself under his spell in completely unknown territory!
Decker ends up convincing Lydia to attend 6 functions with him as his date, in return he will donate $25k per function to the charity closest to her heart. Of course, she agrees, he stipulates some rules, she breaks them, and we have the beginning of a steamy, passionate and intense set of dates, where feelings quickly become involved, and Lydia finds out just how much she enjoys Decker dominating her.
I loved these two characters and how they become attached to each other! Decker may well be an a-hole but he does have a heart of gold where charities and his caring and protectiveness of Lydia was endearing. Lydia takes a bit more convincing, as she cannot understand why he is attracted to her and keeps expecting to be dumped for a more slimline model. This of course makes him angry and he tends to dish out a punishment when she thinks like that!
A good entertaining read for me, I enjoyed their connection and their families and learning about the background of the characters. A hot and steamy read, I will definitely read more of Fiona’s books.
