BOOK BLURB

Lauren

Since the night we met, heโ€™s been my constant. Carefully reconstructing the pieces of my broken heart and making it whole again.

But we canโ€™t catch a break. As hard as we try to make it work, the blows keep coming.

When Iโ€™m finally ready to hand him all of my bruised and battered pieces, he shatters the trust weโ€™ve built, and I donโ€™t know if I have it in me to fight for what we have.

Is it time to walk away and save myself?

Or do I take a chance on loving Gabriel Wild?

Gabe

I screwed up.

After putting her back together, I made a stupid mistake and broke the fragile pieces of her heart Iโ€™d promised she could trust me with.

She wants to walk away, but Iโ€™m not ready to give up on what weโ€™ve fought so hard for.

Iโ€™m in love with Lauren Day, and Iโ€™m ready to fight for us and what weโ€™ve built.

Iโ€™ll fight until sheโ€™s ready to take a chance on loving me!

Loving Wild is the conclusion of Gabe and Laurenโ€™s story in the Saviour Series, but weโ€™ll see more of them in Book Three, Chasing Blue. Out February 2022.

My ARC Review:

This picks up right after book 1, Saving Ren, make sure you’ve read this first!

Wow, what a read! A brilliant conclusion to Ren and Gabe’s story, but boy there’s a lot of emotions packed in here…. not an easy read at times, it’s raw and intense, emotional and heartbreaking, frustrating and passionate, all coupled with the occasional witty banter, some great Essex sayings, and when all the girls got together they had me in hysterics!

Both Gabe and Ren are broken in their own ways – Ren from being battered and beaten by her ex-husband, and Gabe from suffering a horrible incident growing up. Both are loaded with their own emotional baggage and with not really knowing each other that long are fighting to come to terms with that and keep on a steady keel themselves. But their passion and insta-love for each other suits them to a tee, but they have a lot of ups and downs ahead of them.

The women from Gabe’s past seem to keep appearing in their life, and Ren is struggling to cope, especially as she sees herself as not attractive. Gabe has the best intentions but seems to go about things the wrong way, which causes more distress. Thank goodness for their wonderful family and friends who intervene when necessary and help them both through it all.

A brilliant read dealing with some serious and difficult subjects, I loved it and couldn’t put it down, I was totally invested in Gabe and Ren and was really hoping they sorted everything out. The epilogue at the end was a great touch! Looking forward to reading more from Lesley.

About the Author:

Lesley was born and raised in a small working-class town in Essex, just outside of East London. Sheโ€™s married with three sons and in 2006 they all moved to the other side of the world, settling on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, about fifty kilometres outside of Melbourne, Australia.

Lesley is currently โ€˜a stay at home mumโ€™, but in the past, she has worked at โ€˜good old Mark & Spencerโ€™ for thirteen years and as a teacherโ€™s assistant. As well as writing, Lesley loves to read and has been known to get through four or five books a week, when sheโ€™s not writing that is.

Her other interests are watching her boys play footballโ€ฆ the round ball version. Sheโ€™s happy to admit to being an addict of social media and owes a lot to her Facebook and Twitter family in promoting her book. Lesley is also rather partial to a glass or bottle of wine, a nicely chilled Marlborough Sav Blanc being her favourite.

Being a born and raised Essex girl, she will happily admit being a big fan of spray tans, manis, pedis, and is regularly, waxed, tinted and sculpted, although she doesnโ€™t own a pair of white stilettos.
