Another fabulous read from Melanie, book 2 in this Reynolds Restorations series, easily read as a standalone but you are missing out on a cracking read if you haven’t read Revved to the Maxx!
Stefano works at Maxx’s car shop, he loves his job, his work family and his real family, being the youngest of 5 in an Italian household, he’s the only one left that’s single and his ma is getting on his case for some grandbabies! But having spent more and more time with Maxx and Charley and seeing just how much in love these two are have left him with the feeling that it just might be time to settle down. When he bumps into Gabby one night who has broken down at the side of the road, he thinks he has found the girl to do this with!
Gabby is a single mum to her 5 yr old son Theo, she works 2 jobs just to keep them both fed, but lives in an apartment with some wonderful helpful people who also help her with Theo whilst she works. Gabby doesn’t like to be beholden to anyone, she doesn’t trust easily and literally lives just to care for her son. When Stefano stops to help her with her broken car and takes her home, after kissing her senseless, she cannot help but feel the attraction between them, but she has never dared to hope that should could find love and a home, as she is keeping a big secret from her past.
I loved Stefano, so protective and caring, wanting to spend time with Theo, who will just blow you away, what a star, 5 yrs old going on 25, I loved him! Gabby is very standoffish about getting involved with Stefano, but with Charly and Maxx getting involved her walls start crumbling. A brilliant read from start to finish, sweet and sexy, emotional and funny. I loved being back with Maxx and Charley again, and can’t wait to read the next book in this series. Not to be missed.
