Reality TV comes to the woman-scarce town of Stone Ridge, Texas and nothing will ever be the same…
The men of Stone Ridge are finally getting what they want…more women!
A cowboy born and bred, Sean Henderson is always willing to help a neighbor in need. Throw in a small town contest in which he’s “forced” to date dozens of gorgeous women at once, and fine, you’ve twisted his arm. Ladies: meet Mr. Cowboy.
But what he doesn’t expect is for a woman from his past to be one of the contestants.
“If you’re lookin’ for Tabitha, she went back to the house. Probably to change into something a little more revealing.”
“Damn, Skippy, you almost sound jealous.”
She snorted. “Jealous? Why would I be jealous? I know who she is. She’s young and stupid like I was, tradin’ on her good looks. Those will be gone someday. You should look deeper.”
“Oh, this is rich. Advice from you on love.”
“Well, why not? I know you better than anyone else here.”
He let that knowledge sit between them like a pack of explosives ready to detonate.
“And who do you think I should choose?” He took a step toward her.
“Glad you asked. That’s easy. Jessica. She’s not as sparkly and sexy as Tabitha, but she’s a schoolteacher for cryin’ out loud. She’ll give you children. And she’s young enough to have several.”
He took another step. “What about Angela?”
“I think you know Angela isn’t all that into you.”
“She’s here for the wrong reasons?” His gut burned with anger because he knew just who might be here for the wrong reasons.
Bonnie crossed her arms and glanced at the rafters above them. “Well…I can’t say. She’d like to stick around a bit longer, let’s put it that way.”
With another step, he stood right in front of Bonnie, crowding her. Inches of air hung between them, with the old sensation of a live wire, sparking like the Fourth of July.
“Why are you still here, Bonnie?”
