My ARC Review:

This is one of those reads you didn’t know you needed in your life until you’ve read it….. it was a real tonic to the system, a pick me up that put a smile on my face for hours.

Part of a series by different authors, this is a short insta-love, feel happy, small town, family loyalty wonderful read!

Maggie is on her way back home to the only place that felt like home, but she’s been away a while, will it still feel like home when she gets there? Currently she’s stuck in the airport due to a snowstorm. All she wants to do is find a quiet place to try and settle down and wait it out. She comes across a young man wrapped around a chair fast asleep, he looks uncomfortable yet is gone in his sleep, she finds herself checking him out and is drawn to him and feels the need to comfort him when it looks like he has a bad dream.

Sebastian has spent the last few years chasing his dream of becoming a musician, much to his father’s dismay. But he is out of luck and has nowhere to go except back to his father, who will only accept him back if he leaves his dreams behind and works for him instead in the insurance business. He wakes in the airport to an angel holding his hand. Their connection is instant and deep and they spend their time together in the airport learning a little about each other. But when the time comes to leave, each on a different path, can they leave each other or are they destined to walk the same path.

This was a wonderful, heartwarming, feel good read, full of kindness and love, finding your one and only both in life and home. Both these characters have suffered and had no direction, until they met each other, and their way forward was together. Highly recommended reading.

Meet Melanie:

New York Times/USA Today bestselling author Melanie Moreland, lives a happy and content life in a quiet area of Ontario with her beloved husband of thirty-plus years and their rescue cat, Amber. Nothing means more to her than her friends and family, and she cherishes every moment spent with them.

While seriously addicted to coffee, and highly challenged with all things computer-related and technical, she relishes baking, cooking, and trying new recipes for people to sample. She loves to throw dinner parties, and also enjoys traveling, here and abroad, but finds coming home is always the best part of any trip.

Melanie loves stories, especially paired with a good wine, and enjoys skydiving (free falling over a fleck of dust) extreme snowboarding (falling down stairs) and piloting her own helicopter (tripping over her own feet.) She’s learned happily ever afters, even bumpy ones, are all in how you tell the story.
