I’m a small-town bartender who’s never been north of the Mississippi and I gave up on my Prince Charming coming around a long time ago.
So when Liam McCauliffe—smart, sexy, tech billionaire—rolls into Peachtree Grove and is interested in me, it has to be a mistake. He must be confused.
Except he isn’t.
He knows what he wants. And what he wants is me.
Before I know it, I’m trading in my double-shifts at the Rowdy for a fairy-tale life: private jets, star-studded galas, and glittery diamond necklaces.
But everyone knows there’s no such thing as a real-life Happily Ever After. Even someone as seemingly perfect as Liam has secrets. When one of those secrets shows up, all of a sudden our future is on the rocks.
With no fairy godmother in sight, will we still find our HEA?
This is an interconnected, steamy small-town secret billionaire standalone romance written in first-person, dual POV.

Fiery desire shot through me, my torso tightening, every muscle hard and ready. But I didn’t want this to be fast; I wanted to make this moment last as long as I possibly could. I grabbed Macy’s hands, stretching them over her head, then rained a trail of kisses down her body. I glided my tongue across her collarbone as she arched up against me, pressing her body to mine. Heat radiated off her skin as I licked at the soft mounds of her breasts, my teeth lightly grazing her nipples through the thin material of her bra. She moaned into the darkness, my tongue flicking at her smooth skin. I dropped my head lower, licking the flat lines of her stomach, circling her bellybutton. Holding both of her hands in one of mine, I moved down her body, easing her panties down her legs and letting them drop to the floor.
With an open palm, I slid my hand up the inside of her thigh. She inhaled sharply, her breath catching in the quiet. Reaching her center, my thumb teased her, flicking lightly against her clit.
“Oh god,” she moaned.
Encouraged, I continued, her chest rising and falling a little more quickly as I picked up my pace. I cupped her, pressing my thumb against her core and she shuddered under my touch.
“Do you like that?” I murmured, my lips grazing her ear.
“I do aim to please.” I stroked her, running my finger up and down her now-wet skin, then dropped down all the way down, tasting her. I licked and sucked as she writhed beneath me, my tongue darting in and out, her entire body vibrating with pleasure.
“Please,” she whispered, her voice thick with need.
“Please what?” I teased, lifting my head to look at her.
“Please come inside.”
I slid one finger into her, slowly, gently, her muscles tightening around me. She arched up, so I slid in another, moving in and out as she gyrated on my hand.
“Is that good?” I asked, watching as pleasure danced across her face.
“Yes,” she said, her hips rocking in rhythm with me. “It could be better, though.” Her eyes flashed and she licked her bottom lip.
“Really?” I tipped my head to the side, narrowing my eyes at her.
“Fuck me, Liam.”
I paused, locking eyes with her. “Are you sure?”
“Do I seem unsure to you?” she asked, opening her legs a little bit wider, giving me a full shot of her gorgeous body.
“No. You really don’t.”
I let go of her wrists, heading to the bathroom to grab a condom, ripping it open on my way back to the bed. Rolling it on, I straddled Macy again, resting my forearms on either side of her beautiful face. I kissed her full on the lips—not too hard, not too soft—applying just the right amount of pressure. Then I spread her legs farther apart with my hand and slid my cock into her. She arched up to meet me, our bodies perfectly aligned. Her fingers flew to my neck, caressing my sensitive skin, then moved down to my shoulders and back. I thrust in and out, picking up the pace to match her rhythm. We moved together in sync—me giving, her receiving. She kissed me harder and deeper, urging me on. Her muscles clenched and tightened around me, and I felt my inevitable surge building.
“Come for me, Macy,” I whispered into her neck. That was all the encouragement she needed to unravel beneath me, her body cresting as she cried out my name.
I watched her peak, her muscles shaking as I held her close, breathing her in. Her short nails bit into my shoulders as pleasure overtook her. Finally, I couldn’t hold back any longer. I let my climax rip through me, exploding. My heart pounded and I could barely breathe as I rammed into her one last time, squeezing out the last drop of my climax.
I collapsed back onto the bed, pulling her to me. We laid together in silence for a few minutes, trying to get our bearings.
“Well, that was unexpected,” Macy said, glancing up at me.
I lazily stroked her hair, not wanting to lose the intimacy of the moment.
“Why do you say that?” I asked, my thumb tracing the side of her face, her high cheekbones.
“You seem so—mild-mannered,” she said, surprise in her voice.
“That wasn’t mild-mannered?”
“Uh, no. Not really. You’re a lot more assertive than I gave you credit for.”
“Is that a problem?” I asked, gazing down at her.
“Not for me. I kind of liked it, Liam McCauliffe. It’s just—not what I expected from a tech guy.”
“A reformed nerd, you mean.”
She blushed. “Maybe. Something like that.”
“Well, you’re not exactly shy yourself, Macy.” I ran my finger up and down her arm, leaving a trail of goosebumps behind.
“Is that a problem?” she asked, smiling up at me.
She damn well knew no guy in their fucking right mind would ever complain about that.
“Nope. Definitely not.”
“Great. Good to see there are no problems here then.”
I gently turned her face towards mine, pressing my lips to hers. She tasted sweet as she sighed softly into me.
“I have to go,” she said, pulling away, untangling her legs from mine.
“I told you—I turn into a pumpkin.” She sat up and I reached out, pulling her back down into bed. She landed on my chest, and we were eye to eye.
“I can’t.” She stared at me for one beat, two, then broke eye contact.
“Why? Do you have to work?”
She shook her head ‘no.’
“I told you I can’t.” Her tone was harsher now. She clearly didn’t want me to argue with her.
I was torn between pressing the matter and dropping it altogether. I had no idea how to handle this; typically women wanted to stay. I was in uncharted territory here.
Macy pulled away, then dipped back down to me, brushing my lips with hers. “I don’t stay. It’s not something I do.”
