My ARC Review:

The third book in this fantastic Reynold’s Restorations series set around Maxx and Charly’s car mechanic garage, the people that work there and their families.

Kelly is Charly’s best friend, she is a photographers’ assistant and travels all over the world for work. We have seen her in the previous couple of books in this series, she pops in to see Charly when she can – her and Brett have a thing going on, they have hooked up a few times while she has been there, but Brett has been falling for her, that was until she left again, this time its been a year since she’s been back.

Brett is the Assistant Manager at the garage, he was heart broken when Kelly left again, he had hoped he could convince her to stay, that he was enough to stay for, but she went anyway. Now she’s back at the garage after being away for a year, Brett has hardened his heart against Kelly and has vowed to stay away, though something is off with her, she’s not quite the same in attitude and how she looks.

Kelly has had a rough upbringing, never really having anywhere where she felt like she was home, except for at the garage with Charly. She has suffered badly in the past year and has gone back to the garage to recover and see Charly, though she knows she is probably not welcomed by Brett after she went and left him again. But they were bound to run into one another whilst at the garage, slowly but surely reconnecting, but Kelly is keeping a big secret from Brett as to just why she came back.

A great story, I really felt for them both in different ways. Brett shows just how much he cares for Kelly and shows his vulnerabilities and emotions and I felt sorry for him. Kelly has been through a lot and when you eventually find out what has happened I felt really bad for her too. But these two are really sweet together, reconnecting and being back together, back with all the friends and family. Lots of smiles, fun, laughter and banter with the families and workers with a bit of drama and angst in there as well. I loved seeing more of Maxx and Charly, Stefano and Gabby, along with Mama Rosa keeping everyone on their toes and cooking up a storm. A great addition to this fabulous series.

Binge the series here!

She loves to throw dinner parties, and also enjoys traveling, here and abroad, but finds coming home is always the best part of any trip.

Melanie loves stories, especially paired with a good wine, and enjoys skydiving (free falling over a fleck of dust) extreme snowboarding (falling down stairs) and piloting her own helicopter (tripping over her own feet.)
