Gentle Scars

To Be Claimed #2

Willow Winters

Blurb:

From USA Today best-selling author, Willow Winters, comes a tempting tale of fated love, lust-filled secrets and the beginnings of an epic war.

There was never a question of whether or not I would be his.
It’s simply what fate demanded.

There’s a knowing when the werewolves find their mates. It’s an aching need, a desperation… one they would die for. But for their mates, it’s a trance, a pull, a submissive desire that’s at odds with the shadows of my past and how I’ve learned to survive.

I didn’t know how hard I’d fall. I didn’t know what destiny would bring.
I didn’t know it then that I would die for him as he would me.

This is book 2 of the To Be Claimed Saga. Wounded Kiss is book 1 and should be read first.

My Book Review:

Book 2 in this series picks up straight after Wounded Kiss, so make sure you’ve read that one first.

We get a lot more background story in this one – from Devin and how his pack was formed and how he got to be where he is, quite a heartbreaking tale really this one!

We also find out more about Lizzie and Dom and how fate has brought them together, more about Lizzie being a latent wolf and how both of her mates are trying their best to coax the wolf out.

The next mated pair in this book is Vince and his vampire mate Veronica, a very unique pairing in any world! Veronica’s past and how she came to be a vampire is another heartbreaking tale, but how Vince treats her and lets her have to control she so desperately needs was adorable. Her pet name for him, Pup, was fabulous!

Lots going on in this one, again told from multiple POV’s, lots of betrayal and threats to be had.

Gracie is settling more into her role of Alpha with Devin, now that both Gracie and Lizzie have been fully claimed as mates. Dom and Caleb are also trying their best to help out Lizzie in any way to get her wolf to come out and play, but she still has lots of triggers to get over but has found a happiness to didn’t think she would ever get with her 2 new mates.

A cliffy ending, this was again quite a short book and was devoured in one sitting, but I can’t wait to read the next one.
