My ARC Review:
The third book in this series, picking up straight after Gentle Scars, make sure you’ve read the first two books first.
We’re back with our mated couples, Devin and Gracie, Lizzie Dom and Caleb, Vince and Veronica – again told from various POV’s we get even more background to what’s going on with these couples.
There is a war on the horizon this time with what looks like deceit from the Council who oversee the paranormals when dealing with the humans. Vampires are going missing and blood is in short supply, more humans are needed to donate the blood as drinking from the vein is outlawed – but this doesn’t seem to stop certain ones from partaking. A drug has been developed that is being used to lace the supplied blood that gets rid of the vampire’s immortality. Veronica’s Queen wants her to work with Devin to find out what is going on.
Plenty of steam, lots of drama and action, again quite a short read, but it was highly enjoyable – the only thing is that there appears to be a wait of 12 months before the next book is due to be released?! This is supposed to be the last book in this trilogy, but surely there will be more books brought out for this?
