My ARC Review:

A hot, fated mates novella from Alison, part of the Ruthless Warlords series, and initially being published in the Claimed Among the Stars Anthology – this was a great little read, on the sweet side rather than darker, but also being in the Omegaverse it is also very steamy – very enjoyable!

Ari has found herself in a tight spot on a ship and manages to barely escape with her life as the ship explodes and she falls.

Pavel hears a commotion outside and literally dashes and catches a woman in his arms. Ari is in a bit of a state, she can’t see and has no memory of who she is. On top of all that the attraction she feels for the male who caught her catches her off guard. His deep gravely voice, his muscles, the way he is with her has her body responding in ways she didn’t think was possible.

Pavel is an ex-convict living in the Forbidden Sector. He’s grumpy and closed off, prefers his own company to anything else, but puts up with his colleague Axel, running a shipping business together. Pavel has a terrible past, he is scarred both physically and emotionally from it which is why he is the way he is. That is until his whole world is changed by an angel falling from the skies…

Pavel knows immediately that Ari is his fated mate, the fated marks appear on their wrists, but he is all types of wrong for her, she is beautiful and exotic, no matter that she cannot remember who she is, he is darkness and brutality to her light and beauty, but he wants nothing more than to claim her as his, but how can he expect her to give up whatever life she is used to and be with an ex-convict….

A quick and sweet read, these two are perfect together with their insta attraction and smoking hot chemistry, never mind the steamy hot scenes!! A great addition to the Ruthless Warlords series, but easily read as a standalone and is a great introduction to this world if you haven’t read any of this series.
