My ARC Review:
The second book in this series and this was a very good read for me, I loved Raya and Liam, my word some of the scenes are dirty filthy hot, but I loved how their relationship grew from that of being captive to opening up a whole new world for both of them.
Liam works for Angel, he was a mercenary hired to kill people, now he gets paid to rescue them and that’s no skin off his nose as he gets paid more money for it. He’s a cold heartless killer, but has been through an awful lot himself and has both the emotional and physical scars to prove it. He sees a girl on the beach, she captures his attention, he’s unsure why as people rarely do. He bumps into her in the beach shop, where she looks him up and down and promptly dismisses him. He doesn’t like that. He doesn’t like that at all. He can’t stop thinking about her, how fake she seems, he’s going to teach her a lesson and get to know the real her.
Raya is a Senator’s daughter, brought up in a world of wealth and power, yet has never known love or affection, being treated as a pawn in her father’s political life. Every part of her life has been strategically planned by her parents, from what she wears, to how she looks, her education and who she interacts with, as such she has led a very sheltered and protected life. She lives her life behind a mask and a fake smile, never dreaming that such would end up getting her kidnapped.
A good read, this series is darker that the Blackbridge Security series (some of the boys do make an appearance in this one), with the bedroom and shower scenes being very hot, dirty, filthy and erotic, with some triggering scenes for some. Well worth it if you like your reads like this.

I’m inching up on the BIG 4-0. The gray hairs are doubling what seems like daily, and the wrinkles and laugh lines are more pronounced than ever.
I have an amazing husband (Married just over 15 years.)
We have two boys we’re doing our best to raise as respectful gentleman.
I have a master’s degree in criminal justice which I used to work as a juvenile probation office until deciding to write full-time in June of 2019. So that means there’s usually always some criminal/law element to my novels.
If I’m not writing; I’m reading.
My favorite genres recently are bully/reverse harem and enemies to lovers. Maybe I’m reliving my traumatic teen years through the girls who actually end up with the boys. (Not that I would change my history since it’s gotten me exactly where I need to be!)
I love coffee. I miss carbs. Music is LIFE. I try not to be too serious.
