My ARC Review:

Rayne has a lot going on in her life – she has never developed her wolf side and is labelled as defective and a runt by all her school. Her mum has just married one of the pack ‘royalty’ and is expecting his pup, and as such have gone from having nothing to having a new home and step family. She’s trying her best to make things work for her mum and new family, it’s her job to cook food for them all, whilst trying to keep her head down at school and just get on with things whilst being bullied. She’s looking for an out and being able to go to college is her main aim, hence she runs her own OnlyFans page for foot fetish people and is saving up her own college fees from this.

Things get very complicated when her step brother, Wilde, gets in trouble at college and ends up coming back home for a while. She has been given his old room as he was a college – now he is back, and wants his room back!

Wilde is angry at the world – angry that his dad got some commoner pregnant and has married her, angry that the runt Rayne is in his house, even worse in his bed! He can’t wait to humiliate her and put her in her place. But he can’t seem to get her scent out of his nose, and his wolf goes wild when she is around, trying to stake his claim on her, what’s all that about?!

I enjoyed this one, I’m not a major fan of the bully trope but this was done well – I loved to see the progression of Wilde from being an a**hole to falling for Rayne – this was gradual and you could see the changes taking place. I felt for Rayne, she had so much to put up with, but she was strong and didn’t let anything get her down. She was the only one who understood what was happening with Wilde and tried her best to help him, even though he was being rotten with her. Looking forward to reading more from this series.
