My ARC Review:
Book 2 in the Mason & Sophie duet, make sure you have read book 1 first as this picks up right after that.
I loved Mason, he has been through an awful lot and friend-zoned Sophie for such a long time while he sorted himself out, but just when you thought it would all turn out ok and the stars were aligned for their something more, Sophie goes missing and ends up being kidnapped by a psychopath!!
The book is really divided into three, the first part being very much a thriller / suspense type read as the unfolding drama of Sophie and her kidnapping are unveiled – it was action packed and had me on the edge of my seat. The second part for me was just ok, it seemed to drag out for way too long and didn’t really hold my attention, I found myself skipping parts. But the third part when they eventually got back together made the story for me, I loved it and it was the perfect ending for them.
While this hasn’t been my favourite read by this wonderful writing duo I still really enjoyed it, and boy am I looking forward to the next book featuring Liam and Maddie, that one is going to be a cracker!
