OMG this was a fantastic 2nd book in this shifter series – Brick is obsessed with his super smart assistant Madi, who is human, but with everything going on with the rival pack he can’t afford to show any weakness, and Madi is definitely that for him!
Brick cannot claim her as his mate, even though his wolf his pounding through him to do so, he cannot afford to get attached to his assistant, there’s just no way he can mate a human as the alpha of his pack! So they decide to keep their relationship as just a kinky work thing. Madi is happy to go with this, she knows she’s not in Brick’s league and so might as well enjoy an office romance while she can get it! But Brick is struggling, he is starting to turn feral, the only thing keeping him sane is his connection to Madi, but when a security breach is discovered and Madi is accused of being a spy for the rival pack, things take a turn for the worse!
Brick and Madi’s connection is super hot, he can’t resist her but is fighting his obsession all the time. Madi knows this and continues to push all his buttons!!
This does end on a cliffhanger and Brick has a lot of making up to do in the last book! Can’t wait for the last book in this trilogy!
